The students are learning ELICA MIWA System in an performance class, with texts from The Merchant of Venice.

They are music students and enjoy acting.

Very sincere and good in understanding.

Antonio, the Merchant, appears on stage as sad, but as soon as he finds himself helping his best friend Bassanio, he turns optimistic.

When Shylock offers the bond of Antonio’s flesh for the money, Bassanio objects.

But Antonio says;
“Come on, in this there can be no dismay.”

In fact, Antonio’s playfulness is seen in his usage of words.

Shylock.
      I’ll be with you.
Antonio.
     Hie thee, gentle Jew.
     The Hebrew will turn Christian, he grows kind.
Bassanio
     I like not fair terms and a villain’s mind.
Antonio
     Come on, in this there can be no dismay.
