A Little Time Will Kill The Grief [Shakespeare For You]

🎭 A little time, my lord,  will kill that grief.

— Proteus, Two Gentlemen of Verona 3-2

This scene is Act 3 Scene 2.

He just entered the scene, which means he didn’t hear the Duke saying “A little time will melt her frozen thoughts”.  But interesting enough, Proteus has the same kind of idea about time curing.

I think this shows the Duke and Proteus are the same kind of people.  So I would play this to come closer to Duke.

And if I were to play the Duke, with this phrase, I absolutely feel that we are on the same track.
