Bella Reine System, French Acting Technique

I enjoyed Bella Reine System acting workshop held by a Chevaliere Masako Okada.

In The Merchant of Venice, Shylock says;

”Three thousand ducats for three months, and Antonio is bound.”

Antonio will be in trouble by this.

In Bella Reine System, what Shylock utters is above, but what he thinks is another matter, so actors should be able to say what really he was thinking in clear words.

In English theatre, we call it as “subtext”.
