Hello, this is ELICA MIWA.
It’s already 20th August.
How is your summer?

こんにちは、三輪えり花です。
八月も早、二十日。
みなさんはどんな夏を
過ごしていらっしゃいますか？

ELICA is rehearsing a musical energetically in Kofu, Yamanashi Pref., in Japan.

三輪えり花は、
山梨県甲府市で、
ミュージカルのリハーサルに
勤しんでおります。

However, I still have a chance to meet these guys.

朝から晩まで
リハーサル室に篭っているなか、
こんな奴らを見つけました。

Japanese cicadas.
We call them as Min-Min-Zemi, from the sounds they make.

ミンミン蝉。
アブラゼミともいう方々ですね。

They sound like just nuisance noise.
But if you get closer, they are such cute insects.

遠くからはただ
ワシャワシャと聞こえる雑音に
近いものが、
近くではこんなに可愛い。

You know, they have lives, too.
Beyond each sound, there is a life.

ひとつひとつの音の先に
命があるのだなぁ。
