There came a cute visitor at my window last night.
A little gecko.
This house gecko is thought to be the safe-keeper of the house, in Japan.
Now, today’s acting tip from The Merchant of Venice;
Jessica, the daughter of Shylock is ready to run from the house.
As soon as Shylock closes the door, she murmured to herself thus.
“Farewell, and if my fortune not be cross’d,
I have a father, you a daughter, lost.”
“Goodbye. If I am lucky,
I will lose my father, and you, father, will lose your daughter.”
But try saying the words one by one.
I have a father…
(Jessica is thinking about her situation)
You a daughter…
(Jessica is thinking about her father’s)
(Before saying this, take enough time to feel and decide.)
Don’t you think Jessica is really thinking as she speaking?
